Answer: Yes
Is Pride a sin?
Depends on what you believe! Today's pride is thought of in different ways. In the month of June, Pride is thought to be something unique to those that are gay or lesbian.
It is not. Pride is something that generally is in oneself. It is the feeling of accomplishment I getting a task done. It can be great or small.
Pride can also be something a group shares in itself. Pride if being who you are. Some during the month if June call gay pride as being a great thing for the homosexual community. It is pride in who the group is or has become. There is nothing wrong with gay pride as long as the group or individuals in the group don't think that others cannot have "Pride".
Straight Pride exists. It is equal to everything that Gay Pride is. It has become more well known because of the advance if Gay Pride.
Because gay pride has become more vocal in this era it has allowed straight pride to become more vocal. The fear one pride has against the other is that one will overwhelm the other. So many in the gay community have adopted this fear and have responded by insisting straight pride is bigotry towards the LGBQ community.
Straight pride is no more bigoted than gay pride. Pride in oneself or in ones group is acceptable. A straight man or woman has a pride in who they are and it doesn't mean they are against the gay community, they simply know whi they are as a person, who they enjoy being with, and who they want to live with and love. This is no different than the gay community who knows who they are, who they want to live with and love.
Bigotry only exists when there is an actual desire not to want to be friends with, be civil with, or accept that there are those that are different and have their own "Pride".
It is ok to be prideful. So for June, it is good to know gay pride exists.
In August or September, it is good to remember straight pride exists.
Let's all be civil, accepting, and caring as human beings.
